to ecce

to ecce is a virtual and collective curatorial platform.

In this virtual space designed like archives and exhibitions, three islands shelter art pieces from several artists, in the form of a video game. Musics, sound ambiences, paintings, drawings, sculptures, or poetry are transferred from the "real" world to this virtual place. When the game inhabits a "real" exhibition space, it tries to recreate an arcade as it existed before personal computers and consoles, when multiple people came together for a journey to another life.
In the "real" world, our degrees, our jobs, and even our genders arbitrarly define if our ideas are admissible or not. But in this virtual world every players and contributors are equal. The free software ethics' and the open source culture encourage us to write and contribute to the code that we need so we can decide what it does and the roles that we want to play within it.

For now, the game includes artwork from:
Sofija Konosonoka, Mathias Malefond, Alicia Laïb, Sam Alpiste, Songshan Fu, Dimitri Koltsof, Yingqi Wang, Byeong Ju So, Anaelle Cassagne, Lila Palette, Denys Zhdanov, Julian Weigandt, Boram Choi, Jamila Issa, Samuel Morrissey, Lara Carlon, Fanny Nagy, Seobin Park, Paul Blot, Adam Meurice, Dany Potentier, Vinaï Bui, Yeojin Min, Suzanne Marchese, Tom Grbic, Ferdinand Thomasson, Nemo Geenen, Enrique Moreno, Lucas Dupont, Alina Riethmuller, and Vincent Grill.

You can send a mail to [email protected] if you want to collaborate, or if you just send a file of your work, it will be added somewhere on one of the three islands of the game.
